Less than nothing

Yes.
It is true.
Saddam Hussein is dead.
Personally, I don't believe he warrants much more of a mention than that.
He was less than human in life, and he is less than dirt now.
Let us move on and do not honour him with another thought.

That is my take on it.
My daughters is different however.
She considers it sad that any man, no matter how vile, end up eternally separated from God...in Hell.

I guess that is the black and white of it.

Even so, he had his opportunities to make a U-turn in his life.
We all do.
We do not need to be knowledgeable with Saddam's life to know this.
We need to be knowledgeable about the Creator, who is always desiring that even the most vile can be redeemed.

  1. yeah but that's not really the case though. no body really get's redeemed save those whom god wishes to.

Exodus 9:12 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart and he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said to Moses.

Romans 9:18 Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.

I can't imagine Saddam ever really had a chance with God. The only entitity that probably could have shown him mercy would have been mankind and we chose not to forgive obviously and hanged the poor fool. Se la vie. He's gone now, I guess we can't bring him back.
