When I am 90, I am sure I will feel the same.

I think the stressful part came from other people having "expectations" about how they perceived my birthday should be for me. The thing I really wanted to do (rule the world)didn't fit in wth their view. So, oh well.
The last year or two I have really tried hard to get away from giving in to what others "expect" I should do, or how things are "supposed to be," and just living the way things are. It bursts peoples bubbles in thier own minds though and that is uncomfortable for them.
But that is not my fault.
No more living in the "Land of Supposed-to" for me.
But on my birthday, I slipped up and I did just that.
Oh well. Live and learn.

A freind of mine saw the birthday card I made to myself, "2 Young 2 B Old" and she made an interesting observation. She said, "you know, I'm sure elderly people feelvpretty much the same on the inside, as when they were 20 years old. We just pass them by and don't see the 20 year old inside them."
Wow.
I was shamed and inspired all at the same time.
I mean, can you imageine (*thinks of example...*) ok, can you image a 90 year old in a wheel chair, suffereing with a little bit of palsy and tremor, but inside has the mind of K'laamas, or Oscy?
It makes you think differently about really old people.
At least, it does me.

ReplyDeleteSi Scout and I were snooping thrugh Yeeshas room and lo and behold there beneath the pillow I found her journal.
Well now, there is some interesting information.
I am embarrassed to say I still have not conquered the book puzzle yet. I thot the obvious first: Atrus, Catherine Sirrus Achenar and then Yeesha, but apparently I am incorrect. So now I will have to dig back a ways and see who else to arrange.

I may go back in later tonight after scout goes to sleep, and play ahead a little bit.
